OUR STORY

Nothing brings people together like a good story and a nice cup of tea.
Here’s how we came by both.

Infinitea was established in 2003 by Gaurav Saria.

But our history goes back a lot further, all the way to 1881. The British were frantically planting every fertile patch of India’s hills with tea from China. They said they wanted to bring an end to the Chinese monopoly over tea. But their pursuit was little motivated by politics or commerce. Oh, it was personal. They wanted to possess their beloved beverage. Thoroughly and completely.

Their quest brought them through the narrow, winding hill roads to Mirik Valley in Darjeeling. And there it was. Situated at an altitude of almost 7000 ft. Surrounded by shimmering veils of mist. A place where low temperatures would forever dominate.
